Call out for escape of liquid from a burst flexi hose causing elevated moisture in floors and walls affecting 8 rooms in total. On our initial call out, South QLD Restoration technicians conducted moisture content checks and mapping as well as a water extraction and installation of drying equipment. As mould was evident in the vinyl flooring it was a recommended by South QLD Restoration to lift the vinyl at property as it was deemed Non restorable. Damaged content of the insured was also documented and catalogued. Approval was granted to remove the floor boards and vinyl as flooring was heavily affected by water and mould was evident. A air filtration device was set in place for removal of mould affected flooring. Containment for mould was also put in place to affected areas and floor protection installed. Water damage to the plasterboard walls was also reported on and plasterboard removed where required so that timber framing could be treated for mould. A deep clean throughout the property was carried out at completion of water mitigation works.
